My other beauties

I just realized I haven't posted any photos of the doggies in my blog yet; what a bad mommy I am. They *are* my first babies afterall.

Here they are in the order they were rescued.

I am just under 8 weeks in this photo. I can only imagine how I will look as the weeks progress; not that I am at all complaining. We are very happy with what we have been given.

Wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles

I will share a secret with all of you. I am finally PG again (just over 7 weeks)!!!

Not only that, but I am PG with TWINS!!!

*and to think I was just about to start fertility drugs (Clomid) because my OB and I didn't think I was ovulating*

We found out last Thursday at our first ultrasound but we couldn't see too much then (just what possibly looked like 2 heartbeats). We had another one today and the babies hearts were both beating away: one at 136 bpm and the other at 130 bpm, and they are both measuring the same size so that is very good. It is just the most miraculous thing that could of happened after we lost our baby girl in February and I am taking it as a sign from God. I was so angry with God after we lost the baby, so much so that I almost completely turned away from him. Eddy and I both see this as a very significant sign from God and it makes me feel so good. I also feel much better about this pregnancy than I did our last. My OB has been wonderful and is really monitoring me closely. I get to go back in 2 weeks to get another u/s just so I can see the babies again before I have my appointment with my OB on Sept. 18.

I know I am still fairly early in this pregnancy and could really use all of the spare thoughts, prayers, and vibes everyone has. We want these babies SO much. I will post our u/s pictures later...

My boy is ALL man!

As I am getting ready this morning I am bent over blow drying my hair and I look up to find Quinn sitting on his Baby Bjorn potty with reading materials in tow. He was fully clothed of course but crapped himself nonetheless; at least he is getting the idea. He knows poo poo goes in the potty. It just cracked me up to see him sitting there reading a book.

Like father, like son!

Rub me raw

I finally got around to using the spa gift certificate Eddy and Quinn got me for Mother's Day. Actually I probably would have used it sooner it my mother hadn't been involved. We got her a gift certificate for MD as well and she wanted to wait until my sister and 3 kids left town; she figured she would need a massage by then. So I make our appointments (for separate rooms- we are close but not that close) for a Saturday afternoon and look forward to my 90 minute deep tissue massage all week long. The spa is very nice and professional and not too new-agey for me.

You think I would just be able to lay there for 90 minutes and enjoy myself???

No!

I always lay there feeling guilty that someone is giving me a massage. What kind of moron am I? I can't just completely let go and enjoy it. It was wonderful though; my lady was very good and really got into it with her elbows, etc. I like it when the massage hurts a bit; I feel like I am getting my money's worth. Do I want another massage? You bet. Will I completely enjoy it? Never.
