Lots of changes on the homefront
enough. However, it also meant that my in-laws moved in and took over our house for 3 months. I won't go into a lot of detail but suffice it to say that I am an extremely private person and have huge personal space issues and my MIL has absolutely no concept of personal space. I know she means well but it really drives me insane to have anyone staying in our house for more than a couple of nights. So there was a lot going on toward the end of my PG which I don't think I touched on here. It added several layers of additional stress onto an already stressful PG and marriage. "It", was the finishing off of our English garden-style basement by my father-in-law. He did an amazing job and saved us many thousands in labor costs; for that I cannot thank him- let's just skip ahead to the good parts. Our lower level was completed a couple of weeks after that. We now have our house completely back to ourselves.
Quinn LOVES the massive great room down there and runs himself nuts (as evidenced by the blur of him in the photo). We have nearly 900 additional square feet of living space comprised of a great room, additional bedroom, full bath and furnace /utility room.

that great room looks awesome!
How stressful. I was laughing at the socks and underwear together - it was your MIL. HA! I know it's not funny, but it is. Yay for the room. it looks great!
Argh - SO glad to hear you have your space back!!!
Your downstairs looks really nice, and I love that cute picture of Quinn running around in it. It adds a cool sense of proportion. :)
About the MIL thing--I totally sympathize. I love it that mine moved back up north last year. (She didn't live with us but she might as well have--shudder.) Oh boy, did she add stress to our marriage! I can't imagine what it would have been like if she'd been around the past few months while my mom was dying.
Quinn is so cute!
