Lots of changes on the homefront

enough. However, it also meant that my in-laws moved in and took over our house for 3 months. I won't go into a lot of detail but suffice it to say that I am an extremely private person and have huge personal space issues and my MIL has absolutely no concept of personal space. I know she means well but it really drives me insane to have anyone staying in our house for more than a couple of nights. So there was a lot going on toward the end of my PG which I don't think I touched on here. It added several layers of additional stress onto an already stressful PG and marriage. "It", was the finishing off of our English garden-style basement by my father-in-law. He did an amazing job and saved us many thousands in labor costs; for that I cannot thank him- let's just skip ahead to the good parts. Our lower level was completed a couple of weeks after that. We now have our house completely back to ourselves.

Quinn LOVES the massive great room down there and runs himself nuts (as evidenced by the blur of him in the photo). We have nearly 900 additional square feet of living space comprised of a great room, additional bedroom, full bath and furnace /utility room.

Brave New World

Here they are leaving the NICU- the only home they have known thus far.

Here they are hanging at home

Mairin looking at mommy

They definitely have a sense of knowing each other and seem to "speak" to each other in weird alien-like squeeks. I could sit and watch them interact for hours.

However... the special big brother is exceptionally high on life these days and always performing for us all.

Quinn is doing so well. He really loves the babies and seems to have a nurturing quality about him. He always wants to kiss and hold the babies. It melts my heart.
